Life’s ups and downs

Hi there all my avid blog readers. I have not been blogging recently and would just like to apologize for being so quiet.

My dad has been very sick and was in hospital so my family and I had been spending a lot of time in hospital. I am very sad to say that he did not make it and is no longer with us. We all miss him greatly and I have been battling to come to terms with him not being here anymore.

Instead of having a funeral for him we had a ‘Celebration of his Life’. It was amazing to see how many people came and hearing all the great stories about him from different people. My dad lived a great life with a passion for everything he did. I have so many great memories of him and can thank both my parents for having a truly amazing childhood. We always had some great adventure together from caravanning at the classic car club he belonged to or driving hours at night just so we could experience snow.

For the ‘Celebration of his Life’ I created a slideshow for him. It has some photos from albums and some from family and what I had in my photo collection. He is smiling in practically every photo and most of them are either with him eating, with his cars or with family and friends which pretty much sums up what was important to him in life.

He really will be missed by so many people whose lives he touched and especially by myself and my family.
